Pultrusion.

History:

Pultrusion was first patented in 1946, and developed to the point where a new innovative and patented thin wall profile was produced in Canada in the early 1990s. Sovereign Windows has access to the patented technology, and with our many years of international installations from above the artic circle to the blazing heat of the sub Sahara, Australian owners can now enjoy the very best in window and door technology.

What is Pultrusion?

The pultrusion process.

Pultrusion is a process used to manufacture composite materials. Two forms of continuous fiberglass reinforcements (roving and mat) are impregnated with a resin, then drawn into a heated die which polymerizes the resin and determines the cross-sectional shape and finish of the final product.

Lineal Strength.

Lineal Strength

The resulting product is so strong that it is load bearing (like aluminium and timber), and is not susceptible to thermal distortion. Far larger windows and glazing screens can be produced without the thermal disadvantages of the traditional window.

Pultrusion brings high performance space-age composites within the reach of the Australian home.

Performance.

With rigorous attention to detail you can now enjoy the highest standard of construction and performance of any window or door system in the world.

Insulated Glass Units will significantly reduce the cost of heating and cooling by up to 20%, with an additional 15% energy saving possible if Argon gas is incorporated within the glass space.

Allow our products to add enhanced performance and style to your development, as you play a personal part in reducing green house gas emissions.
