Strength.

Sovereign engineered windows & doors deliver vastly superior strength characteristics when compared to other traditional materials. The tensile strength in the longitudinal direction is the highest of all window materials.

Conductivity.

Fibreglass combines strength with very low levels of conductivity without adding thermal breaks. It is an amazing 250 times less conductive than aluminum.

Thermal expansion - “glass on glass ” effect.

With more than 60% glass content the frame expanse and contracts almost identically with the pane of glass, thereby lowering stress significantly on the window or door and providing longer life and comfort.

Low Maintenance.

Fibreglass is the most stable material available which provides an ideal base for a full range of finishes, ensuring an unbelievably durable window or door. This material is so tough that it will withstand extremes from Arctic cold to blazing desert heat or the rugged sea coast. That’s why Sovereign offers a 15 year structural guarantee, with a life cycle expectancy of 50 years.

Environmentally Friendly.

Fibreglass composites feature a very low embodied energy of the frame (low energy consumption in profile production) when compared to other common profile materials, while providing the longest life cycle expectancy. This has led international experts to recognize it as the most environmentally friendly production method.Visit Sovereign at ecospecifier for more details. www.ecospecifier.org ( look under key word Fibreglass)

Non-corroding.

Important considerations.

Fibreglass is used in boats, aircraft and bridge structures in addition to a multitude of other applications which face punishing loads and stresses as well as corrosive environments such as salt spray. It provides superior life and durability compared to all other materials in common use in coastal environments. A 15 year frame warranty and a total life cycle of 50 years is standard for these state of the art products.

Why Insulated Glass Units (IGUs)?

It’s simple: for a very low additional cost above single glazed windows our customers can now take advantage of sophisticated combinations for that unique “glass on glass” experience.

Higher performing Windows and Sliding Doors mean ongoing energy savings. With IGUs a reduction in air conditioning costs of up to 20% is achievable - hundreds of dollars per year in fact - even more if you specify Argon gas fill for a total of 35% reduction of heat gain or loss.

Ongoing comfort while saving on your energy costs could mean that in just a few years you have paid for your windows, all while enjoying the unsurpassed luxury of IGU performance.

Sovereign Windows and Sliding Doors have some of the highest performing frames and sashes available in the world. It is only fitting that either single glazing or IGUs can be specified by our customers.

IGUs are not just for cold climates. Here in Australia IGUs are just as affective at keeping heat out as keeping it in.

Accoustics.

Sound Reduction.

An added advantage with IGUs is the reduction of over 50% in sound transmission, equal to or better then many other sound transmission solutions, depending on the situation. All while enjoying the other outstanding benefits of IGU performance. Call Sovereign windows for the full details on sound reduction and your options
